The “Sogno” (being “we“ or “us”) recognises its responsibilities in relation to the collection, holding, processing, use and/or transfer of personal data under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) ("PDPO").

Personal data will be collected only for lawful and relevant purposes and all practicable steps will be taken to ensure that personal data held by us is accurate. We will use your personal data which we may from time to time collect in accordance with this Privacy Policy Statement.

From time to time we may collect your personal data including but not limited to your name, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth and login name for the following purposes: 

1. To process your applications, subscriptions and registration for our products and services;

2. To perform or discharge the functions of Sogno;

3. To provide you with our products and services and administer your account in relation to such products and services;

4. To conduct research and statistical analysis; and

5. Other purposes directly relating to any of the above.

1. Direct marketing

Where you have given your consent and have not subsequently opted out, we may also use your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address to send promotional materials to you and conduct direct marketing activities in relation to our services. 

If you do not wish to receive any promotional and direct marketing materials from us or do not wish to receive particular types of promotional and direct marketing materials or do not wish to receive such materials through any particular means of communication, please contact us through one of the communication channels set out in the " Improving Sogno” section below.

1. Identity Card Number

We may also collect your identity card number and process this as required under applicable law or regulation, as required by any regulator having authority over us and, subject to the PDPO, for the purpose of identifying you where it is reasonable for your identity card number to be used for this purpose.

Our servers may automatically record information (“Log Data“) created by your use of the Services. Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser version, pages visited, time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

A cookie is a small amount of data created in a computer when a person visits a website on the computer. In other words, it does not have the function of identifying an individual user of the website.

Cookies are used by Sogno to collect statistics about the number of visits of users and the users’ preference of websites and online services offered. You may choose to accept or reject cookies. If you reject the cookies, you will not be able to use some of the functions of our Service.

We may use a variety of third-party services to help provide our Services, for the following reasons:

1. To facilitate our Service;

2. To provide the Service on our behalf;

4. To help us understand the use of our Services

These third-party service providers may collect information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, such as cookies or your IP address. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them only as needed for them to perform those services. We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. Please remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Our Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

1. Privacy Policy for Children

We do not knowingly collect personally identifying information from anyone under the age of 13. In the case we discover such situation, we shall immediately delete the information from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.

1. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. We always indicate the date the last changes were published and we offer access to archived versions for your review. If changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of Privacy Policy changes.

1. Access and correction of personal data

Under the PDPO, you have the right to ascertain whether we hold your personal data, to obtain a copy of the data, and to correct any data that is inaccurate. Requests for access and correction of personal data or for information regarding policies and practices and kinds of data held by us should be addressed in writing and send to us (see the "Contact Us" in the terms and conditions). 

A reasonable fee may be charged to offset our administrative and actual costs incurred in complying with your data access requests.

1. Termination or cancellation

Should your account or relationship with us be cancelled or terminated at any time, we shall cease processing your personal data following such cancellation or termination. However, we may keep copies of your data for use in relation to any actual or potential dispute, for the purpose of compliance with applicable laws and regulations and for performing or discharging our functions, obligations and responsibilities.
